Graduate Classes

Core chemistry classes, specialized classes and modular classes are offered by the Department of Chemistry. The core classes constitute the main framework of a student's formal course work, and are designed to be broad-based, but at an advanced level. They are intended to help the student gain a wide understanding in several major branches of chemistry, and thus are taken outside as well as inside the student's research area.

Each graduate student's course of core classes is complemented by several specialized and modular classes. These classes provide the opportunity for in-depth study of selected topics that are more closely related to the student's research area. These classes are offered by the department based on the need and interest of the students.

For an up-to-date listing of classes, check the Graduate Calendar.
